Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We drove through on the winding roads and there were spectacular views everywhere. Narrow roads with many buses taking tourists there. We are on a cruise. It was a bit of a drive and if you don't like winding roads this may be a problem!

Les Calanches is an amazing series of rock formations south of Porto. We decided to do an evening boat trip and we weren't disappointed as the sunset as we returned was beautiful. The boat was quite small with about a dozen on board and we're not good sailors and although the ride was bumpy there was no roll so we didn't feel sick! We got really close to the rocks and it really is quite unique. The only down side was that the captain had no PA system so you had to be sitting close to him to hear anything. His commentary was actually quite amusing; for example, here's a joke, if you understand French. "Why are birds referred to as "migrateur"? Ans: "Because they can only scratch themselves on one side!"

I read that this was an easy walk. I disagree with that. It is, perhaps, an easy hike but there is quite a lot of going up and down rocks that many people can’t do. We finished in about 45m round trip. There is a nice outlook at the end.

So fortunate to have glorious sunshine and the colours were stunning, not only of the calanques but the surrounds. The deep blue sea , the vegetation, the skies....a must visit place!

Allow plenty of time to drive and take care in the narrow bits- its all too easy to clip a tyre on the jagged rocks.
Piana is a good place to aim for for lunch.
Plenty of viewing points but not so easy to find a circular trail

It was a hot day when we walked along the road through the rock formations in the Calanches area. The road was packed with buses and cars, so we needed to keep well to the sides of the beautifully walled road. It was quite early in the morning too. The sun was gorgeous on the red rock, with the very blue sea beyond.

We travelled around Corsica with an organised tour so could admire these fantastic views in comfort and without worrying about the driving.

There are lots of little stopping points and I would have been happier stopping at a few more because 5he views changed at every corner.

Spectacular doesn’t really do these cliffs justice!! I was going to say a must see but in reality it’s difficult to miss them.

One day perhaps I’ll return and drive the narrow winding roads.

Very nice drive from Ajaccio to Porto, sometimes challenging but worth doing. Locals drive like crazy there and many people walk on the road so be careful. We drove there mid September and it was difficult to park around so I can imagine that during peak season it gets really busy.

Very suggested place. We find them better than the "Corniche d'or". Just park the car before arriving and walk slowly to the end…. Do not forget your smart phone or your camera!!!

You cannot miss Les Calanges !! You could go in the morning or the afternoon. Morning is best. The lights is on the golfe. It is quite quiet. There is lot of trails but you won't like it if you have vertigio. You can walk 1 kM on the road. There is a nice cafe to take a break. It is best to see it from the roas that from the boat

ENJOY
