Don't get me wrong, it's a nice place steeped in history, but they just don't do a great job at all at tourist attraction. The guide, spent more time telling everybody what you can't do or can't touch and how much fines one would get...More

The tour through the caves of Pommery is an interesting combination of getting insight into the champagne making process and an exposition of modern art. Tour takes around 45 minutes. 20 euro for 1 glas of champagne, 30 for 2 glasses. Note: the second glass...More

Did not do the tour. Tasting was overpriced at 16 euros for small glass of entry level brut. Not able to even buy tasting of better champagnes.

We went on tours at several Champagne houses, including other cellars 65 ft. down. This one stood out - the owner installed artwork at every turn, brightening up the tour. The wells project light as well into the cellars so it was quite different from...More

I have been on a lot of winery tours, olive oil factory tours, etc. After a while, they tend to blend together. Not this tour: our tour guide was well-informed, had very good English (she studied in Cork, Ireland), and led the tour efficiently. Pommery’s...More

The answer depends on just how thoroughly you would like to cover Reims. We did a day trip, leaving Paris at 07:58. That comfortably gave us time to schedule tours at both Pommery and Taittinger. We had a leisurely lunch and... More
