I did not actually visited the museum, but loved the surrounding gardens and the quite athmosphere. There is an real-life preserved elephant and a giant Lebanon cedar tree. The gardens are gorgeous.

This is a relatively small museum, but still managed to take 1 1/2 hours to go through. It has lots of very well preserved paintings and is definitely worth a visit.

A very fine collection. Closed Tuesdays and at lunch. Get there early as can be hot. Enjoy the wide collection and building. Garden is beautiful. Stuffed Elephant...Bit macabre.

After ascending...More

It was a Sunday so we didn't go into the museum but the grounds are nice enough for a stroll around after you have visited the cathedral. Check out my photos of the Cedar tree

We were impressed by the range and quality presented here in quite a small gallery. Well worth a few hours when in Tours
