Monolithic One of the nicest I have seen from the outside - actually quite stunning with it's two circular towers on the western side. Inside - Nice stained glass but otherwise not my cup of tea. No feeling as you get in some churches. 1830.

We wandered in while the cathedral was being prepared for a weekend commemorating Joan of Arc. Special decorations, including beautiful flower arrangements, gave the sanctuary a special glow.

It is a pleasures to see the restoration and cleaning of the front facade. Very impressive Gothic building. Inside the stained glass is colourful and the Joan of Arc windows were impressive. It must be glorious with more light on a really sunny day! The rose windows weren't as impressive as some that I have seen. The ceiling is extremely... More

Mighty impressive cathedral. Worthwhile visiting. Many sculptures and statues and small side chapels. Information should be provided in English or German instead of only French.

I was taking my first extended tour of this central part of France many years ago long before the range of calendar dates suitable for indicating the time of my visit were make available for completing this review. I brought with me a degree in French. A second degree in European history was helpful too. Do not go there with... More

Whilst we didn't go inside due to timings this is a beautiful and massive Cathderal not to be missed (it's difficult to miss something this big!). The road leading up to the front, with colourful flags hanging from buildings all the way up both sides is extremely photogenic

This is a lovely Cathedral that shows its age in some places. The pipe organ is beautiful as one would expect and restoration work does not hamper viewing.

Wasn't expecting this, a huge cathedral with all the obvious history of Joan of Arc, if only our friends from SE Asia would appreciate and respect the purpose of the building a little more.

stunning cathedral , been in many, many churches and cathedrals in France but this stands out as being special. there was renovation work being done when we were there some access was limited, but it didn't take away from this fantastic spectacle. Orleans is the birthplace of Jean Of Arc and the city obviously tributes her throughout the city.
