Worth the queue

This is a place you should visit. It's beautiful to visit this magnificent cathedral from the inside. The queue can be very long, so I suggest you take it with patience.

Bourges itself is really nice city. If you visit the old town for example for the diner in the evening take your time to walk through the historical city. There are blue lights that will walk you throught the most interesiting historical part of the city.

I would have loved to report on the towers an crypt of the cathedral of Bourges but, even though I arrived at 11.30, I was told that it would be possible until 14.30! So, I simply visited the cathedral itself which is vast! It is unbelievably tall, inside and also unusual in that it is not built on the traditional... More

We visited the tower with it's +400 stairs. The view on Bourges and the surrounding area is nice but not worth the price. We haven't visited the crypt.

396 steps to a magnificent view. worth reading the carvings in the walls on the way up, if only to rest your legs. Guided tour of crypt well worth it too. Combined ticket for tower, crypt and Jacques Coeur is good value and can be used over 2 days

The tour of the crypt was in French ,Mohicans we were informed of when we bought out tickets but were told that there was information leaflet in English for us. However it was difficult to follow... The crypt isn't what you might expect, as it's more of a cellar than a crypt. As for the tower, a long climb, but well worth the view!

Loved visiting this classic church. The 387 steps to the too are worth the effort...and the nominal fee
