Joseph Drouhin Top Burgundy wines.. As part of a Gastrotour all over France we were in a Town considered heart and soul of Burgundy, a place-and its wines-that holds a soft spot in our hearts. After a nice light lunch in "La Dilettante" we were strolling in the beautiful Centre of Beaune and heading to "L'Hospice de Beaune" (Hotel Dieu),... More

After reading Wine and War prior to our Burgundy trip, I knew I wanted to visit Maison Drouhin. We were a group of four couples and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the tour. There is such great history in this cellar, where the Dukes of Burgundy stored their wine centuries ago. We enjoyed the tasting in the cellar at the... More

We visited The Joseph Drouhin Wine Cellars in Beaune, France a couple of weeks ago and really loved it. We were a group of 8, and had our own private tour. Our host, Rafael, was excellent, as he knew everything about the cellars, and spoke very good English. We had a tasting of 6 wines at the end of the... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Maison Joseph Drouhin. Our promenade was led by Benjamin and he did a great job guiding us through the history of Beaune as well as the history of Maison Drouhin. The ancient cave below Beaune was beautiful and the wines were fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The house is very famous. It is located right under the original town. Visit of the cellars and the wine tasting is recommended. At first it is quite expensive 34 euros for 6 wines per person. But the visit of one hour about the historic site is amazing. If you buy some wines, they will waive the tasting fees.

I visited here on my own whilst my husband looked after our 2 children, yes it was a real treat! The cellars were fantastic, the history around the wine and family was so interesting. I am surprised that some people weren't happy with the wine or the cost, yes it was slightly more expensive than other vineyards or tastings I've... More

The tasting was expensive and not much discount was given if you bought wine. Most places waive the tasting fee if you buy an equivalent in wine. Their cellars are under the city of Beaune and very old and interesting. It is in the city so very con
