Lovely gardens

What a lovely place for a relaxing walk and sit-down in the gardens. It’s a lovely building and lovely gardens. We went there twice just to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

A short walk from our hotel, the flower beds were lovely and such a peasant quiet place to sit either in the sun or the shade.

Beautiful old building
Mar 2018
The Palais Saint George was built in 1670 and has the name Magdelaine de la Fayette written across the front and became the barracks during the french revolution. On 4 August 1921 the building was destroyed by fire leaving only the masonry facades. Today it houses the police and the fire brigade. The front of the building has beautiful gardens.

Classic center of formal capital city.

Rennes used to be a much bigger player in France (last century and before). The architecture is very fine and well preserved.

Nice place to stoll, even under the rain...We really appreciated. Don't miss this part of Rennes, with the quite close baths.

Not a lot to see. Pleasant but having just ben in Parc du Thabor this is never going to compare. However the building in the jardin is very nice.

Being a little way from the town, the idiots find it hard to walk here.
Splendid public gardens with stunning builiding as a backdrop, just of the main road and easily accessibile.

Near to fire station at the heart of the city, a well kept and a colossal building with its impressive plants. Now, a place to kill time by its quietness and full blown flowers at sight.

Huge interesting building and beautiful garden
Jul 2016 • Family
In the center of Rennes you find this beautiful huge building. Built in 1670.
They have council offices in the building. There are benches in the garden in front of the building where you can sit,to admire the garden.
Behind this building you have a fire station. Very interesting and a good way to use this building. Just a few meters after the fire station you have the municipal swimming pool Saint Georges that have a very interesting façade. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience
