EDF have a car park and visitor centre on the Barrage. Display describes how the generation works and you can the machinery through glass windows. Take a walk along the wall to see the whirlpool of water being sucked into the turbines

Visited here because it is just so instructional & produces clean energy. Perfect for those geographical locations which have the appropriate tidal differentials. Makes one hope for more of these types of energy generators. Nice informative tour...

Almost 50 years old and still producing enough electricity to power a city like Rennes! This was the very first tidal electricity generating power station so well worth visiting the EDF exhibition which explains so much.
