The Rance is a special hydro-electric station, as it is based on the tidal effect. This coast of Brittany is known for the tidal effect and this station is between the see side and the lake side. Visit is free.

A massive lock on the edge of a dam on the river Rance in Brittany. Great experience going through the lock on a 37 ft sailing yacht. French engineering at its best

It used to be a hydro electric dam but that has been decommissioned and now it is a bridge over the Rance. Quite interesting when there is a boat waiting to go through the lock but apart from that....
