Have been to better aquariums in other parts of the world so I'm not very impressed with oceanopolis for the price paid. Facilities and building were a little old. Visited oceanopolis because of 2 year old niece who loves fishes and animals!

to start this is a great place to go on a wet day on your holiday, however that being the case lots of people also think this. It was extremely busy, the car park was quite a walk from the entrance and the rain was...More

Depending on how many aquariums one have visited before, this is in my opinion quite average. On the positive side is the huge tanks where you can watch fairly large sharks swimming around, together with other smaller and large fishes. And one can find other interesting...More

After reading some of the reviews from those dissatisfied with the aquarium I was hesitant as to whether I should visit. The Aquarium is truly excellent. we visited in august, there were no queues (arrived around lunchtime), yes it was expensive,(what family attraction isn't), but...More

Disappointed with our visit, we almost spent longer queuing to get in than we did in the there. Far too many people allowed in, so trying to see the exhibits was very difficult. So many rude people happy to push others out the way to...More

We spent about 4-5 hours here, having a look at all the exhibited sea-life. The tropical pavillion was the most beautiful, but I was also very impressed by the Bretagne pavillion. The arctic pavillion was a bit less impressive. In all a lot of information,...More

We went here during our holiday in Brittany. We chose to go on what was probably the wettest day we have ever experienced but as Oceanopolis is indoors, it didn't matter much! The aquarium is without doubt the best we have ever seen - coming...More

Dear Sir, A big hello from Brest, Britanny. Thank you very much for your lovely 5 star review about us. Just one thing: you don't talk about the "Brittany pavilion" which is one of the three exhibition areas at Océanopolis. Did you have time to...More

We needed a day out for two teenagers and could't have picked a better place. All the staff were friendly and spoke English. The exhibits are big with lots of information and interactive opportunities. Over the years we've been to lots of aquariums, but this...More

I have visited a few aquariums since the birth of my daughter and thought we'd take the plunge with this place as it is very heavily advertised all around Brittany; we expected something akin to Nausicaa in Boulogne which is exceptional. This place wasn't. It...More

We're deeply sorry that you found the exhibit poor and expensive. Océanopolis has three main exhibits, and not two. You probably missed one of them resulting in this feeling that you paid too much. Nausicaa is a bit larger than Océanopolis, that is true. But...More

We visited with our daughters 10 and 8, fantastic aquarium, well presented and split into different areas. Bit pricey but worth a visit. Well presented and animals well cared for
