We took the 1pm boat trip from Benodet to the Isles of Glenan as we thought the kids (5 & 3) would get bored with a full day on the beach if we'd gone for the 11am boat. The 1pm boat probably didn't quite give us enough time though. It's a beautiful island with spectacular beaches, great for a swim... More

Get on board with your private skipper Eric. Get away from mass-tourism on big vessel and sail to the beautifull Glenan -islands on a 9.35 m sailing-ship. Spend a full day together with max of 4 people. Lunch , wine , snacks , tea or coffee included. In your way to the islands look out for dolphins and even small... More

Before we booked our holiday to Brittany the Glenan Archipelago was one of the top places we wanted to visit and we were not disappointed. It is a brilliant day trip and a truly stunning place. The tour guides and brochures are not lying, it feels like you could be somewhere in the Caribbean not off the coast of northern... More

We took the 10am boat from Concarneau and could not return before 6pm. There is not much to do on the island apart from sunbathe and swim (you can walk around the whole island in 10mins), so make sure you go on a day when the weather is good! It is possible to hire kayaks at additional expense. There are... More

The Glenan islands are an archipelago a few miles from Fouesnant, nearby Concarneau & Benodet. There are a number of boats who can take you there if you don't have your own boat. The sea is crystal clear but pretty cold. There are a couple of islands like Penfret or St Nicholas. You can also visit nearby the Mouton Islands... More

it's only a one hour boat trip from the main land of France, but you think you are a different continent.

You need to take the boats, we did a book one trip that was included hotel, called Vedettes d'Odet, it was everything included, hotel, dinner, breakfast. I really recommend if you are planning to go to the West-north part of France.

I changed our trip date to Glenan due to weather and the company accommodated this with no problem or charge. I think good weather is important to getting the most our of the trip, we went snorkelling and spent some time on the beaches which are stunning. Be careful there are a lot of jellyfish.

we started from Concarneau. Free parking is at train station (a la Gare SNCF) about 500 meters from port and 800 meters from Les Glenan ferry, where you also buy or pick up the ticket, easy walk. Otherwise you spend 1 Euro per hour if you park directly at the port. If you like to have this archipellago feeling with... More

Didn't expect to find such a beautiful island with such great beaches off the coast of north-west France! This place was so picturesque I could have stayed for days and I lucked out with perfect weather too. You can go as part of a boat trip but if you have access to your own boat you can experience the island... More
