Standing guard and perched high on a rock promontory above crashing waves, this magnificent building sets a striking symbol and icon for the city. Beautiful in it's architectural design, a striking guardian for wonderful city.

Walked along the coast on what started as a bit of an overcast day that turned into a gloriously sunny afternoon. Watching surfers on either of the bays in Biarritz was entertaining but admiring the coast was enchanting. Interesting place with lots of attractions to...More

Small cove between two large beaches. Two great places to eat above the beach. Drop in rest and then eat.

The Basque coast is beautiful and well worth a visit. The French people who live here are probably some of the nicest and the friendliest we’ve met. It will be a place I’ll always want to return to. Wonderful.

We visited during beautiful hot Spring weather. The beaches, the sea and the waves were just gorgeous.

All along the water’s edge the very various beaches were very different and very pretty. Some would not be accessible during high tide but during the low tide the sand is accessible. Be aware that there is at least one beach where women are topless.

I personally love coastal scenery and this is a beautiful and occasionally wild coastline. Biarritz is rightly famous for its beaches, but for me, the rocky parts of this place are even more spectacular.

Sorry for the late response. It will be very hot during the day but hoodie kind of night. Bring a spring suit if you're surfing, might be too cold for boardshorts. Have fun!!!

Hi I was here 3 weeks ago. Locals were swimming in. 15C water. Or surfers in surf suites. It should definitely be warmer in August. In big, open beaches there are big waves (surfers' paradise), but amongst the many hidden... More
