Not many Russian Churches in Europe. Besides seeing the beautiful architecture from the beach, the gold icons inside are cool too.

You see this beautiful building from many vantages along the beach, and it is elegant and grand, but something funny happens when you get up close because it seems to shrink. Before the 1917 Revolution,members of the Russian nobility arrived to take in the air....so many ,in fact,that they erected the Eglise Orthodoxe Russe. This byzentine Russian landmark was built in 1892 and its across from Biarritz's other landmark..the Hotel du Palais.
