From the outside this is a good looking building but is in need of renovation and hopefully this will be forthcoming in the very near future to both bring this up to a better level and to preserve this lovely building for years to come

Local flea market with all the usual French items. Mostly household things of vintage and non-vintage. Did not see many interesting antiques. Take your breakfast pastry from the bolangure and eat it at the cafes, as most did not serve food. Restaurants opened at 12.

This beautiful old church has seen finer days. The surrounding grounds and walkways are filled with litter.

Like many of the cathedrals in Europe.once you've seen one, you've pretty much seen them all. Bar a few which are a must see. This one though looks to be under refurbishment. It closed over Manchester's 12:00 and 14:00 so make sure you're there at...More

Just €5 to climb the tower. Around 220 steps. Better to be fit but not super fit. Great view of the bells on the way up then great views all round of the city from the top. Well worth the price and the climb.

The climb to the top of this tower is not as hard as some others suggest and I am by no means fit. Well worth the 6 euro just to see the city from an eagles perspective.

St.Michel is one of the major hubs of Bordeaux but, certainly when I was there, appeared to be a lot less visited than the more central sites like St.Andre. This is a shame because to me the vast, irregularly shaped square with its massive gothic...More

A beautiful gothic church with newish stained-glass windows (originals destroyed by WW2 bombing). Worth a look if you like old churches.

This Basilica is more interesting than the Cathedral. The stained glass windows are quite modern with an almost picasso like structure to them.

As ever you get a very different perspective of a place from a great height and this is no exception. On a sunny day the views are great in all directions. There is also the nice feeling of achievement of having completed the climb. Feel...More
