Simply a fabulous shop full of things to make your heart stop (literally given the fat content). Given we rented an apartment we could enjoy a variety of cheeses throughout our week long stay. Despite knowing little English (and I even less French) we could...More

Visiting Jean D'Alos was delightful. The selection of cheeses is good and the shoppe pristine. The staff does not speak English, yet we were able to communicate well, and select cheeses not available in the US.

A nice cheese shop beside the Marche de Grand Hommes. A great selection of cheeses (though you can find far more in supermarkets around Bordeaux). The ladies who run it don't speak English but are very kind and obliging. Not cheap though!
