For a good chuckle :)

Had a pleasant time reviewing each scamp/sketch. He's so comical, smart and there were times, some work made me miss the advertising. He's just brilliant!

Although this is a museum of a famous children's book illustrator I wouldn't recommend you take children on the top or basement floor, which only leaves you with the main floor. It is a small museum and much of the art is just quick sketches that are untitled which gives you the impression that they were not meant for showing... More

I love Ungerer's children's books and there is almost nothing here of those. There was a special display of his adult erotic work - when that isn't on, I have no idea how they possibly justify the cost.

Although Tomi Ungerer made lots of illustrations for children's books which are terrific, he did plenty of erotic drawings as well. In fact, the temporary exhibit was very erotic so I just recommend checking what's being shown before you bring your kids. Or you can just visit the ground floor which focuses on his more innocent work. I went because... More

Being a cold and wet day in Strasbourg I decided to explore some museums and art galleries. There was plenty of parking close by which made for easy access. You buy your entrance ticket in a cute little building that is separate from the museum, which is nice, but having left your scarf, coat, gloves etc in a locker you... More

I didn't expect anything of this, and it turned out to be a fantastic discovery of an artist and author.

I'm not a fan of the genre drawings exposed and I not liked. The museum are two small floors with drawings and two videos which is difficult to see because there is few chairs to sit. I did not pay entry (because the first Sunday of each month is free) but I think expensive for what it offers visitors.

Surprising, really, for a museum dedicated to one of the most beloved illustrators of children's books in the world, but they really don't seem to want children, even well behaved ones. First they insisted we leave the pushchair behind at the entrance, even though the whole museum has excellent accessibility (for adults obviously). But worse was to come inside from... More

I really enjoyed this museum and found myself laughing out loud at some of the illustrations. The exhibits really attest to the fact that Tomi Ungerer is a daring, very skillful and colorful (meant more than one way!) artist. It is true that some parents may not approve his illustrations for children's books, but it helps to hear his view... More

I thoroughly enjoyed this museum. I had used Tomi's picture books with children but was amazed at the diversity of his work. Well worth a visit in central Strasbourg.
