An interesting place if you are a botanist (as I am)

Nice way to spend a couple of hours in a quiet setting away from the city centre.Good opportunity to test your macro out on your camera.

Great garden, the steward was friendly and informative, free entry and a great look at 6000 different species. It is also practically a frog zoo around the water plants, the most frogs ive seen in my life! Very cool place to go highly reccomend for 30 minutes of your time

We stopped off here on the way back from Le Vaisseau and were met with a helpful but officious man on the gate who basically told us all the things we couldn't do. (Ride a bicycle, eat anything, touch anything) so spent most of the visit on tenterhooks waiting for our daughter to be too loud, damage a plant or... More

This botanical garden has thousands of plants from all over the world, organized by their botanical plant family. As a botanist, I found it interesting, but this is not the place to inspire anyone to study plants. The desert and tropical conservatories were nice, but not very different from those in many American cities.

The Botanical gardens are peaceful haven in hustle and bustle of the city, tropical greenhouse in grave need of TLC with only a few larger specimen plants that warrant the double height space the remainder are common house plants, disappointing. Outside much better and well labelled temperate bamboos very good and beds set out to show off particular families. As... More

Beautiful, calming, who could have guessed that there is such calming place in the downtown of the city. Little heaven for those who want to explore and fantastic hideout for those who just want to chill out or read a book in peace. Free entry. Sometimes some really great things come for free

a lovely man explained the gardens to us, their history and what he knew of our home in Scotland (in his broken but excellent English), worth a visit for a few moments of serenity in a busy day.

The botanical garden is small and although I visited it on many occasions I was always disappointed because there is not a lot to see. Maybe for a sunday stroll but for like a half an hour.

We found this by accident and to find it free to go in was a bonus. Its a lovely relaxing place where you can just watch the world go by, and the little squirrels jumping about. You are a little walk from the town but we feel it is certainly worth the walk.

The botanical gardens in Strasbourg are pretty small and a bit out of the city center. If you are looking for some special garden I wouldn't recommend going here, it is a good place to take a rest though.
