This is a large area of old parkland and farm land combined with Red Rose forest and old railway nature trail, so great for walking, reasonably flat, bu6 with a few short and steep hills. If lucky you will see deer. The whole area links the outskirts of Radcliffe through to Clifton and Agecroft

We love it. We have the best of both worlds, free to walk unhindered unlike friends who live in the countryside where the land is fenced and of course privetly owned. Our early morning walk today was a delight, full of trees in high autumn colours. It truly is a hidden gem of Manchester.

A damp day, but a very peaceful hour spend in lovely surroundings. It is about 500 acres in total and you can't hope to wander over all of it. I recommend a visit. Quite an oasis in a built up area.

Ok, what to say? I love this place but I have some advice. First, don't visit after rainfall. it'll be ALL mud Also, in hot weather it has a questionable aroma. in autumn and spring it's beautiful though. Definately, definately worth a visit.
