The O2 Apollo Manchester opened on August 29th 1938 and is one of the premier concert venues in England, with shows from every major rock, pop and comedy act on the touring circuit. The breadth of styles of events covers every market - the cutting edge of modern British music, through some of the biggest artists from overseas, popular comedy, and music for older generations. With both fully seated and part-standing formats, this versatile venue increases its footfall and presentations year on year. Art Deco in style, the Grade II listed building has been central to the British touring circuit for decades, attracting Best Venue nominations and patrons from across the globe.

Good gig had at the venue. The highlight of the place is the small pub beside the venue, the name escapes me at the moment but a really good spot for before gig and even after.

We booked tickets for a concert here - Heavy Metal - Judas Priest. Never having been before we were unsure what to expect. From the outside it looked dated - Yes the original construction was pre-war but I think that could be an advantage. Inside the facilities were fine - not expecting too much - Inside was superb having sloping... More

The back row seats are a little too far back and if you watching stand up comedy the sound clarity is not great. The first half of the arena is the only option in my opinion. Not worth investing in the back rows.

This is an old venue with very poor and uncomfortable seating. Is dated but a Mecca for fans as and when their favourites appear. The fact they stand for most of the time is probably acceptable. Visiting for a conference is another story.

Family attended Noel Gallagher concert and had night ruined by idiots throwing drink, getting punched and crushed against stage, and I thought this country had smoking ban!! Not here, people smoking inside. This venue has serious safety issues, disaster waiting to happen

A great venue for music and comedy but lack of loos meaning you had to queue along a tiny corridor and in front of the bar

The place itself was ok if a little run down around it. You are looking at about £5 per drink on average depending what your tipple is. Bar at the back of the stalls is the easiest to get served at and has the widest selection. You get a pretty good view from wherever you are, it's not a huge... More

Came to see these thrash legends in a venue full of memories. What a night, what a venue. Beer was pricey but where isn't it these days. Slayer ruled.
