We visited this cathedral on Friday. It had been heavily damaged in the war and all the windows were new - but well worth seeing - the fire window was particularly impressive. However, the cathedral did not feel welcoming - we could not say why, the staff who greeted us were very friendly, but we just did not feel 'at... More

Visited a couple of times during my day in Manchester. Was impressed with the building and the fantastic new organ so I made a point of returning for evensong so I could hear it played. Sounded fantastic and the choir was excellent too. Some great stained glass.

A bit different from other cathedrals the inside and out don't match the stone is significantly different once inside, the stained glass windows are also unusual and more modern than most, staff are friendly and not pushy, well worth having a look if you are in the area

It´s a wonderful place, gothic style, worth visiting. It´s located in the centre of the city so it is easy to reach. It´s a free attraction.

A wonderful Gothic cathedral, Massive and awe inspiring yet still containing small areas where one can take a moment of quiet contemplation. A glorious building.

This isn't just any church, it is also a concert venue, artists like Elbow have performed here. It's a unique fine-dining experience, it's a conference centre and so much more. One of the most versatile use buildings in Manchester while keeping the building in good use.

It is a free atraction. Is next to printworks, really good location. It's a nice place rebulding after the war. Outside is super beautifull.

Don't be put off by the hordes of zombie-like spiced out homeless people passed out in the doorways - go to Evensong, the choir is sublime. As for the rest - meh.

Popped in out of curiosity and witnessed something rarely ever seen.. My non stop chatterbox niece sat QUIET,fascinated and mesmerized by the beautiful stained glass windows and really old statues. I have rarely seen her so quiet..! Made a donation which brought on THE biggest smile ever :) There is something about here she finds simply magical and if you... More
