Visited here in September, and although the gardens are amazing, couldn't of helped but wonder what they would have been like one or two months ago when the roses were in full bloom! As it was it was a pleasure to spend an hour roaming around this lovely garden, then pop in for a cream tea in the adjoining tea... More

It is still a private residence for Mr & Mrs Chambers, and retains that pleasant family atmosphere. It is excellent value for a p.m. visit if coupled with Hidcote Gardens for an a.m. visit. Probably not easy to reach by public transport as it is quite remote, but Kiftsgate Court Garden is open to the public many afternoons throughout the... More

We have been the first time to Kiftsgate court gardens and truly it was an honour to be able to see it. Even the limited opening times and the restrictions on dogs did not stop us at all to explore this beautiful breath taking garden. A garden full of surprises and inspiration welcomes you with great specialities displayed. The views... More

Kiftsgate Court Gardens are less than a kilometre from the National Trust property of Hidcote Manor Gardens. It’s quite amazing that two of the Cotswolds’ finest gardens should be so close to one another so a visit to both on the same day is entirely feasible. Kiftsgate is the smaller of the two but the external appearance of the manor... More

This place was unbelievable...stunning views of the Cotswalds, a steep walk down to a beautiful old semi-circlular pool type thing which looked over the field of views. I felt like I was in a dream...an old English novel or so. The plantings in the garden were fabulous - a red display of dahlias and roses which catches your eye as... More

Originally created by her grandmother in the 1920's, and continued by her mother, this beautiful property is now cared for by the current owner and her husband. Anchored by stately mansion, the gardens are a series of connected landscaped spaces, including a tranquility pool and an infinity-style pool that overlooks the valley below. Whether you are a gardening buff or... More

The most interesting gardens are situated on an escarpment with spectacular views of the Cotswolds. They are terraced with steep steps to access the various levels. Most of the paths and steps are uneven and are challenging for many, especially those with mobility problems. Those depending on scooters have very restricted access, and those in wheelchairs or with buggies also... More

On a sunny day (perhaps even a rainy one) this terrific garden seems to epitomise old England: The nice lady selling tickets and guidebooks, the tearoom, the wonderful plants, the panoramic views from the Cotswolds to the Vale of Evesham and the slightly idiosyncratic opening times. I'm not sure why they don't open until 2pm in August or why lunch... More

We called in Kiftsgate en-route to Bourton on the Water and used our Gardeners World 241 card, an absolute bargain £8 for the two of us. The house and gardens are privately owned (the house not open to the public) unlike nearby Hidcote Manor Garden, which is a National Trust property. It was a hot sunny day for our visit... More

Just north of Chipping Campden you'll find two houses with gardens open to the public. Today I'm doing Kifsgate but there's also Hidcote which is equally good if more formal. Kifsgate had lovely gardens set on the western edge of the Cotswold escarpment which provides the perfect Eco climate. Lots of cottage garden planting in colour themes for maximum visual... More
