This is a nice place to go if you like planes. My initially impression was of the very friendly staff and was really impressed. The exhibition seemed a little jumbled at first, and it's true there isn't a great deal of order to some of...More

This certainly is a hidden gem. It promotes itself as an aircraft museum but it is missing a trick as it is much more. There are brilliant sections on the blitz, the second world war more generally, flying in WW1 and the Falklands campaign. People...More

A great museum run by enthusiastic volunteers. Alan showed us around telling us interesting facts about the exhibits. There were many interesting displays including all about wartime Sheffield and the Blitz. It was a great morning out.

To say I live 20 minutes away, I can't believe I've never been before. A real gem, loads of exhibits and very informative. I found myself rushing at the end towards closing time as there are so many things in there. Well worth a visit.

God this place brings back decades of memories. These volunteers have brought together a vast collection of aviation history in to a small area and what remains of an historical airfield and RAF station, now largely unrecognisable. A fantastic 2 hours and the volunteers are...More

Fantastic little museum. Not expensive to get into and plenty of free parking. With it not being huge we were there for around an hour.
