This is the worst zoo I ever been. They have a few animals and the map shows more than reality. Some animals are just in cages and the space doesn't resemble the natural habitat as some zoos do, for example the Chester Zoo and others, and that is sad when you see these animals without a bit of their own... The park is great. The animals all seem well cared for with a decent amount of space to roam. The animals are beautiful. Cost us £15 an adult to enter. There are plenty of picnic tables you can use if you take your own food. You can go hack to the car and re-enter the park. So there's no pressure... More

Been a few times now and it gets better and better. First time seeing the polar bears. We'll be back in 2017 to see the new rhinos.

I heard of the Yorkshire Wildlife Park until I met my partner but now I tell everyone I know to visit as it's such a great day out for animal lovers of all ages. Having been an animal behaviour and welfare student at university I find it fantastic to see the purpose built and spacious enclosures for every animal and... More

Had a fantastic time at the park today. In the past we have visited Chester Zoo and Knowsley Safari Park. However, the animals never looked like they had lots of space and always a distance away (Chester Zoo). But today we were amazed at how happy and content all the animals looked. Their enclosures were huge and clean. In fact... More

Super place, and to be able to see the big cats clearly and closely was a huge bonus, I have been to much larger zoos but never been able to get this close to the animals, lots to see and do with lovely shops and eating places too, well worth a visit

We visited last week as a family with 5 adults and one toddler aged 2 years. The weather was dry and cold but this certainly did not take anything away from our experience of the park. We managed 5 hours around the park comfortably. The Park as a whole looks very well maintained and is undergoing continual improvements that are... More

This is one of the best days out in the region. Got a great view of all the animals. They are doing so much work to make it even better for the animals and visitors. The facilities are really good across the whole park. Well worth a visit
