This was a private function where we had the whole of the museum and all the shops, pub and school were open. The atmosphere was great and all of the men and women who work there are so enthusiastic and make it a great place to visit. Fish and chips were wonderful. Definitely recommend this place.

We had been wanting to visit The Black Country Living Museum for sometime and finally made it for the 'Christmas on the Homefront' event. What an amazing experience this was. We enjoyed the evening event so much we decided to visit again the following day! There is so much to see and enjoy. Being taken back in time not just... More

I booked to go to the home-front at the museum on sat evening... have to say after being to a few of these, was disappointed , didn't think it was much atmosphere, not very christmassy . To be truthful not much going on... such a shame as was so looking forward to it.

I finally got around to visiting this attraction yesterday for the first time but have heard about it from various friends and relatives. I used the online function of their website to book my tickets, or 'e-tickets' as they're known, the website states that the price for an adult is "from £15.95" and by giving them your details and registering... Been wanting to visit for some time and finally made it. Large family group of teens, adults and oldies thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Highlights are the electric trolleybus, drift mine, the fish & chip shop and the exhibition in the main building showcasing all the industry that flourished in the West Midlands over many years. Not all the shops were open... More

Its a good day out for all ages. You get a good sense of what it was like in a time gone by, from a sort of everyday point of view. The little tours are really interesting as well, in particular the mining one, which is an absolute must!! Only let down is the gift shop, which was very uninspiring,... More

Plenty of things to do in this village. £17.00 entrance plus £3.00 parking charge The old cars, motor cycle are good to look at. There are 3 old world buses with routs through the village So amy things to do and learn: Go underground for 25 minute tour of mining - entertaining and education The houses are set out as... More

Enjoyable evening at the 40;s Christmas event, which was sold out. Lots of people in character, good atmosphere. 2 hour wait outside for fish and chips was a dissappointment 2 men cooking and serving and weren't the fastest. Otherwise a good evening plenty of fires round about to warm up. Entertainment of air raid and singers were good.
