A lovely tranquil park adjacent to the town centre. Added bonus of a delightful dog friendly cafe (The Aviary) serving great coffee and a selection of savoury and sweet items.

Even though it was the last weekend in September the gardens were beautiful. A stroll along the edge of the river and then around the gardens was a good way to start the day! Although we didn't use them the Tearooms looked good too.

This amazing day showcased a fantastic range of local artists. There was loads of stuff for kids too. The gardens are wonderful in their own right, but the art work on display only added to its glory

Probably the best Local Authority ornamental gardens I have visited this century. They are beautifully laid out.
