Make sure to go to the reptile centre as you can pick up the animals. They have a fantastic range of plants and the bar and shop have a wide veriety to choose from.

Came here with friends. The gardens are lovely with secluded areas to sit in, eat and drink. The only downside was that the food is a bit average. Otherwise, a great night with great atmosphere.

great hidden gem, lovely garden centre plants are mostly ferns and bamboos but the statues are great all metal work. gift shop on site too. tropical bird and animal area (at a cost £4 per person) great if you want to hold snakes and lizards etc. Small beach play area, £1 entry (all proceeds go to charity) tea area and... I love going to Akamba when the weather is warm! Always feels like I am abroad on holiday. Great place to take the kids for a different experience they have real size fibre glass animals from Africa all over the place also a Reptile house you can visit at a cheap price lots of tropical plants everywhere also a place to have a coffee and a bite to eat worth a visit
