Very few. Stall holders. Tuesday. More. Saturday.

Very few stallholders Tuesday. Free bus. From Maidstone chequecentre. bus station. If you go. Saturday more stallholders bigger selection. Lots of Bric a brac . Have a walk round. Lots of interesting stuff. Have a chat to stall holders they appreciate that buy something from then please? They not there for fun, They are there to make some money. Support your local market. . While they are have a walk around the auction hall. You're also fine the toilet in there. And the Cafe. Nice day out.

Not what it used to be
Aug 2019
The markets are held on Tuesdays and Saturdays and can be reached by getting a bus from the town centre if needed.

These days the market is quite small with mostly bric-a-brac type stalls. Occasionally something interesting might be found. I believe auctions do take place in the market hall however these events are unrelated to the market.

All depends on what day you go.

There are 2 markets held in the meadow. One on Tuesday and one on Saturday. Saturday is the best. Boot fair. There are also auctions. Come and see what's for sale on Wednesdays come on bite on Thursdays. Andrews. Minimum bid 4 pound? Watsons minimum bid 1 pound. You choose. Fortnightly. All events have lots of bargains. Saturday. Stroke boot fair. Usually has more people. Selling. Everything under the sun.

Didappointing
Mar 2019 • Couples
We went on a Saturday (there are Tuesday markets) when it was mainly boot fair type stalls. The area is a carpark under the Centre so it tended to be rather dark. We enjoy boot fairs but this, despite the number of stalls seemed very tacky but cheap.
In the market Hall was Lou Lou’s vintage market. This you have to pay to enter. Mainly clothes with some jewellery again far from impressive not somewhere I would go again

Dingy and horrible, avoid at all costs
Jan 2018 • Solo
The title says it all.
Went here because I was told that I would be able to find pet food at reasonable prices. No such luck, all (very) damaged packaging, out of date and the same price as in supermarkets.
Stalls selling random pound shop rubbish, some selling rotten looking fruit and vegetables and one selling bootleg DVDs (who is still trying to sell DVDs when so many people stream illegally?).
Dirty and smelly and lots of idiots trying to haggle with the traders.
Avoid at all costs.

Petfoods
Dec 2017 • Couples
I go to this market for the good priced pet foods and Christmas bargains. This Market is still hanging in there and is not the biggest but the more people go the bigger it will become again

A load of crap and old junk
Oct 2017 • Solo
I went there as someone was advertising selling antiques there. When I arrived the whole market was selling junk and old tat. A lot of nearly out of date food and nearly rotten veg. The whole place was dirty and had slot of unsavoury characters hanging around. All in all it doesn't offer a lot. Not worth a visit
