The B&B rooms are large but a bit spartan and expensive. The restaurant meal was below standard with inedible pork etc. Service was efficient and very pleasant. The gardens and house are worth visiting but not that much better than a NT property.

An absolute lovely setting. It helps when you get a day of beautiful sunshine. The price is reasonable too.

Nice place to visit but its more enjoyable outside then the Castle...is a truly big place but a bit too expensive compared to what its offers to see it as its nothing so special. The gardens look spectacular as all well maintained gardens in the spring

This place has to be the most boring castle ever, beautiful yes, but not the most beautiful in the world. £45 for 2 people is dreadful, how can this be justified, visited Caernarfon castle for £17 for 2, 100% more interesting & quite stunning. Dont bother, just look at it from the outside.

Went on a punt around the moat which we all thoroughly enjoyed. The guy punting was highly knowledgable and friendly which added to the enjoyment. Had a lovely snack... More

We had a last minute visit to the Castle with the children 5 and 7. There was a kids trail on arrival for the kids to do which occupied them for the long approach to the main area of the castle. There is normally a land train and a black swan ferry running across the lake. The grounds are breath... More

the falconry display was brilliant and the chips in the maze cafe are amazing! it's a shame that you enter the castle through the wine cellar as it takes away from the sense of wonder/excitement. but it is the perfect place to spend a day, particularly if you have kids. take a picnic and relax!

What an amazing place, we held our businesses Christmas party in the castle, and it was amazing. This venue is awesome, our Spanish team flew over to join us and could not have been more amazed by its history and beauty. Catering was brilliant, rooms and pop up bar perfect...we will be hosting other parties there for sure. Just brilliant!!
