I went round the museum and was very impressed with the layout and exhibits. London underground walls lined with Jackfield tiles!? Of course! However, it is the tile workshops which we attend every year to make our Christmas and Birthdays tiles. Wonderful way of recording events or personalising a room in your home.

A little off the beaten track in Jackfield this is well worth a visit and really good for children aged over 5 to make their own tiles. The museum display is very well done with lots of information. At the end there is an opportunity to make your own tile (extra cost but well worth it) the staff are really... More

Parked next to the bridge and was really surprised at the low cost of parking. The tile museum was about a mile from where we parked but a pleasant walk along the old railway lines helped to pass the time. Bigger than we first thought and lost a couple of hours following the route through the exhibit. As we there... More

I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't that! It starts by telling you about the natural stones and things found in the area (clay, iron ore and limestone etc) and gives you a history on the people that started a world renowned tile business. Lots of tiles on offer to see very interesting seeing how tastes shifted... More

We visited this museum about 20 years ago and enjoyed it then, but now it is much improved and expanded. We learnt a lot about the history and manufacture of tiles, totally fascinating!

Visited the museum last year. Fascinating place. Beautiful decorative tiles to look at from Classical, to Art Nouveau to the The Arts and Crafts Movement... the list goes on... Definately worth a visit if you have an interest in the decorative crafts. We brought passports and visited 3 museums/places of interest. Worth a visit and value for money!
