This excellent museum also tells the history of Swindon from the 19th Century to the present day. The social history involved in this story is woven throughout the museum and contains many links to the people of this great railway town and tells the stories of the jobs they did. The loco exhibits are immaculate and show what is meant... More

I go to the outlet village as I think it's a lovely place to meet up with friends I met on holiday, it's lovely and clean it's all indoors so ur not going to get wet if it rains which this is why I love going there. There are plenty of shops and restaurants and plus there is a place... More

This museum entranced our grandson. He quickly ticked boxes on his Clip board and found lots to do. The exhibits were all in good order and he enjoyed working signals in the signal Box, shunting trucks around in the marshaling yard, building wooden viaducts and watching lots of videos of times gone by. Parking for five hours £1 in the... More

When I first visited this Museum I thought it was fantastic but whilst it might warrant a second visit that is about it unless you really are a train fanatic - It doesn't change much so feels a bit "been there done that" Maybe the venue could do more interactive stuff? It does school visits I think and I also... More

It was great to visit the Steam museum. Brought back memories of early 60s and 70s. The sound and smells was well designed and executed. Please note that if you book the Hall for wedding etc then the guests will enter through the museum and it is free entrance.
