A lovely place to stroll, sit on one of the navy benches, admire the flowers/greenery, pop into the little cafe. The ice cream was rather nice, too.

My husband grew up here and walking round now he appreciated this area a lot more. Gorgeous little green space amongst the town. Love all the snakes on the benches as the feet. Beautifully well kept and tended to as it's a free entrance park. Was a very calm area that less exposed from the wind, lovely little stream running... More

Well maintained and colourful gardens (even in early spring). Lots of interesting sculptures in the garden. The best thing about the gardens is if you head out of the back through a small wood you join a purpose built path to Harlow Carr (stunning gardens ran by RHS). The gardens have several refreshment options making this a superb walk.

My husband, adult son and I were visiting Harrogate for the day and spent some time walking around the Valley Gardens. The gardens are pleasant but it was a cold day so we didn't dwell there for very lot. I am sure it would be very nice on a hot sunny day.

In Harrogate for a few days, and remembered I was here in March, twelve months ago. Then, as now, a long, refreshing walk around this wonderfully-kept and substantial botanical wonderland, in the middle of my favourite northern town, was a treat not to miss. It was early in the month and, therefore, with temperatures in double figures, the flora was... More

I've been here in high Summer, Spring and Autumn and its a lovely park. There are some great facilities for kids and tranquil places to sit and contemplate the beautiful trees and flowers. The bulbs were out when we were there on Saturday and there was some early cherry blossom. Well worth a visit if you're in Harrogate and like... More

This park has all the traditional elements of a park - children's playground, boating lake, attractive flowerbeds, open grassy spaces etc. - but is also full of buildings connected to Harrogate's past as a Spa town. There's a beautiful long colonnade running along one side and a carefully restored little pump house where we were lucky enough to have a... More
