Honestly, during 10 beautiful and wondrous days driving around Ireland, one of the standout moments was driving up the R759 from near Roundwood to the Sally Gap. The mountain road is beautiful -- and slightly narrow -- but the view up toward the top, down...More

Very scenic drive through hills covered with heather and other short ground cover. A bit challenging for a first time left side driver, but you can go slow. Take lots of pictures

We spent a day trip from Dublin driving down to Glendalough and Wicklow. Many beautiful views along the way and especially in Sally Gap. It’s a long, narrow and winding road through beautiful scenery. We stopped many times to take pictures, even some with the...More

Sally Gap is off the beaten path, and worth it. The drive is crazy, especially in a full-size van, but it was great to stand in the Wicklow Mountains and see that beautiful lake and land. Worth the diversion.

Lovely, beautiful, scenic drive up and down sally gap. Such pretty sites. Road is narrow and people drive fast so be prepared for that part. The spectacular view is worth the drive.

We drove to Glendalough via Sally Gap to enjoy the scenic view, and scenic it was! The views on this drive was a highlight of our time in the area. My pictures are assorted views in the area. Do not miss this!

As it was raining, we chose to do the drive to Sally gap. A beautiful scenic drive, but sadly it was very wet and misty, but still enjoyed it. Certainly worth the drive and for walkers, lots of amazing areas to explore along the way.

I agree with the answers below. It's around 30km from Clondalkin. This may be stating the obvious, but just to mention, it's really at it's best on a day with good visibility & you won't have a worthwhile experience if you... More
