Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a stunning beach. Love soft sand and great sand dome to climb to get great views of the love coast of Wicklow. Even found secret little caves at the end of her beach we were recommended this beach so glad he recommended it. We even watched the sun set

This is a gorgeous, soft sandy beach. It is big so you can get a really good walk and the sand dunes are great fun for kids. Such a beautiful place with gentle waves and fabulous views. The car park is a good value €4 and the toilets are kept well. We were here on a Friday in June so the food trucks weren’t open. A really lovely and peaceful afternoon out.

Fabulous beach, great parking, just remember if you’re there early it’s €4 in coin to get into car park but we’ll worth a visit otherwise

Had a fab day at Brittas Bay today. Beautiful beach and a good long healthy walk! Haven't been since I was a child.
Good parking area, Food vans if u were Hungry although we just brought a picnic and sat at one of the many picnic benches available. Toilets, shower taps to rinse off the sand! A really lovely place very clean and lifeguards keeping a watch out. Brilliant place for a family and pooch day out!

This is a beautiful beach replete with sand dunes. It is a beautiful place for couples or a family. It is large and easy to socially distance.

They accused me of a parking offence on the 19th of July 2020, which I now have to a pay 40 euros fine, which was incorrect, I was parked out on the main road which I was entitled to do! With no yellow lines and I was not obstructIng anybody driveway and I was not parked in the parking area where you had to pay,
This is just an excuse for Wicklow county council to rob revenue off visitors!
And Brittas bay beach to be honest is quite an ordinary beach very small and no facilities, There are much better beaches in the Dublin area!

Brittas Bay has some of the beat beaches in Wicklow. For years we have travelled down to walk the beach and enjoy the Sand dunes. Great place for the dogs to run. Recommended.

Is the car park large with plenty of spaces?

Brittas Bay is a sandy beach approximately 5 miles from Wicklow. Unfortunately the effects of erosion can be seen here., yet it is still a very nice beach and has a blue flag , meaning the quality of sea water is well up to standard.
There is ample car parking costing only 4-5 euro for the day. Toilet facilities are good and based in the car park.
One problem on sunny weekends the car park can fill up very guickly. If that is full another park is just across the road.
Even with this people disregard the double yellow lines and park their cars on them blocking a safe way through to drive past Brittas.

Is it close to the road
There is a proper parking space with great facilities part there rather than the road, its safer.

I walk using one crutch due to bad back. Is the beach far to walk from the car park?

The car park is right by the beach and there are duck boards to the beach from the car park. The dunes are a little steep and it's quite sandy so you may need some help if you want to take an extended walk. Have a nice trip.
