Wonderful family experience with the beautiful alpaca girls and our great alpaca guide Mary in a beautiful part of the world. The whole experience is really well organised and professional from booking to parking and everything in between. The alpacas were really well selected for each of us and our abilities and ages. The kids are 11 and 15 and managed beautifully. We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday. We learnt so much about these animals in a lovely relaxed conversational manner and learnt of their quirky individual personalities. Mary our guide had a huge knowledge of her charges but it’s obviously not a job but a passion. These alpacas are much loved and known inside out. The humans were well guided on respecting the alpacas and not distressing the animals. My mobility is not good and I was delighted to manage the trek and enjoy a great day out. It is hard not to fall in love with the alpacas and not want to bring them home after! We got to hand feed these beautiful furry delights mid way through the trek and feel the gorgeous soft fur. Lots of photo ops were available. The trek finished with Prosecco or juice and some furry retail therapy in the fur shop without a hard sell familiar on similar tours. The quality of goods is beautiful. The toilets at the end of the trek are spotlessly clean and blend in to the surroundings. Overall a great family afternoon out full of memories and laughs. Our thanks to all involved especially Mary and our gorgeous furry friends

These creatures are SO soft. We booked a Meet and Greet item. Started on time and we were given a small dish of special dry food to feed the alpacas. We were able to enter the field and get close to the alpacas. We avoided patting them on the head and patted their very long necks instead. Despite the drizzling rain it was delightful. Very well signposted once you turn right at the church in Newtownmountkennedy. Best tip was not to rely totally on googlemaps.

Amazing experience!! Recently visited k2alpacas for a work event. Alpacajoe has all the knowledge and it was great to learn about the alpacas. All the staff were kind and helpful! The trek is a fantastic way to spend your day. Of course the Alpaca’s are the star of the show, looking forward to returning and visiting my alpaca friend Stringer :) Highly recommend! Thanks to all at k2alpacas for a great day!

We visited recently as a family with 3 children, aged range 11 to 17. It was a brilliant day out. The staff were very friendly and our guide (Janet) was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the Alpacas. We even got to say 'hello' to a week old baby alpaca too. Overall a great day out.

This place is awesome. And I expect it will just get better and better with the plans they have (accommodations etc) The kids and adults loved the trekking experience. I was struck by how well the animals are looked after. Beautifully groomed, happy and healthy looking. After the (approx 2 hour) Trek, we were offered cold juice or a light Prosecco cocktail… then we spent a while in their souvenir shop. The staff were very professional and knowledgeable throughout the entire experience. Highly recommended. Different and refreshing.
