Blessington Lake is such a relaxing, picturesque place to spend a bit of time. There is a lovely walk you can do along it's shores. Next time I'll bring the bike as the trails are wide enough to accommodate both walkers and bikes. Most visitors...More

Nice greenway from the Avon Ri center in Blessington. Great place for a family day out .... your walking around the lakes and via some forests - with a brief jaunt onto the main road to cross the lake. Great for wearing out the toddler...More

Just a short hop from Dublin this can easily be done as an out and back or a linear walk by dropping a car where you want to finish to retrieve the car at the start. Or if you get the timing right you could...More

Growing up in Dublin I often visited Blessington lakes with my family. As a parent today I find myself drawn to the same location, taking my family and dog to this beautiful location. Blessington lakes are surrounded by the serene Wicklow mountains, simply beautiful!

We spent a week using Blessington for our home base while in Ireland. We had no idea how much we would love that little town. We took lovely long walks to the lakes and even walked to Russborough Hous (8.9K round trip!). The walks are...More

Beautiful place but gets busy on Sundays. Spoilt by irresponsible dog owners letting their dogs foul the paths with dog dirt, visitors leaving litter behind them and idiots lighting fires and not extinguishing these. Bins provided by council cannot deal with sheer volumes of litter/rubbish.

Blessington Lakes are situated very close to Dublin, half an hour would get you there. There are some lovely walks in the area and a great view.
