    Great course and club
Returned after 19 years and we were worried about the course been playable after all the rain but the course was in fantastic condition. We did not find one wet area or damage from the weather. One word to describe the course FANTASTIC!! Great food and Guinness to round up a memorable day. Thank you all at WOODENBRIDGE golf club.

    A hidden gem
Not one of the big well-known courses in Ireland but this is a beautiful golf course at very reasonable rates. Nice clubhouse with good bar and reasonable food. The course is stunning in a valley with a river running through it - very picturesque. Staff are friendly and helpful. Worth a visit

    Memorable.
A venue like no other in Irish golf. Crossing the railway line by foot, you embark on 18 wonderful stops. The setting is amazing.....a verdant valley ringed by the Avoca river. It's a series of unending joys. The final two holes demand maximum concentration, or else a wtaery grave awaits! The wonder of Woodenbridge. It took me many years to find it. Can't waut uintil I return.

First time playing Woodenbridge and am highly impressed. Course in top condition, lightning fast greens caught us out a few times. Amazing scenery and fantastic staff, would highly recommend it if the opportunity to play arises.

I find it hard to believe the other reviewers played the same course as me.
The opening holes are the most cramped I've ever come across,
(the front 9 in general)
Scenery is nice but it is not a course I'd recommend, in general, holes are on the short side, greens are good but on one hole the green keeper kept mowing the fringe as we putted.
the 18th is a genuinely nice golf hole, overall disappointing

We played a 4-ball here in June and had a lovely day. The course is tight and short in places, with a couple of criss-crossed fairways but apart from these small niggles, it's a beautiful place. The holes are challenging and the greens are tough so your game will be tested but you don't come away from it feeling beaten up. The clubhouse and facilities are good and everyone there is very friendly. We will be back.

Third time playing here and it’s a must if you’re golfing in this part of Ireland 🇮🇪. Greens rapid but true and whole course immaculate. Clubhouse staff superb and the bacon and cabbage was lovely. Can’t wait to return again next year

One of the most picturesque courses I have played. Set in an ancient glacial valley, this course has some most spectacular holes. The standard of the fairways, greens and bunkers were on the level the Irish do so well.

I visited and played with a group of friends from Australia, and we were most warmly welcomed. We felt as if we belonged to the club from the minute we arrived.

The clubhouse has a warm, cosy and friendly atmosphere, with great Guinness flowing.

If you're looking for a warm welcome and a fantastic round of golf you must play here. Visited here for the third time with 18 other golfers who are part of a society. The challenge is real but the rewards are great. The river meanders through the property setting up many challenges, and opportunities to lose a ball to three. If I could afford a house nearby this would be the place.

View from balcony amazing. Staff very friendly and accommodating, bar food was surprisingly good, the breaded goats cheese and brie a must. No elevator but currently being installed, staff helped with luggage upon arrival.

The course and its setting with a beautiful river winding its way through it, and with Azaleas and Rhoderdendrons a la Augusta, and reasonable weather made this a very special space. Sadly our day was spoilt by a fourball and two three balls in front of us, who were just not prepared to call us through. The course is quite short, just over 5300 yards from memory, so a five hour forty minutes round does not leave the best impression. To be fair to the Pro Shop, they did put our tee time back twenty minutes to avoid delays, but sadly even that didn't work!! All that being said, still a beautiful course in good condition, and one that we will return to, in the not too distant future

This was a return trip after an absence of 10 years - with myself and 7 Golfing friends. We were Fortunate enough to get to play in an Open last week (20/05/2015) - and pay approx. 35 Euro each, which included a buggy...........talk about a Bargain. They say the Camera Never lies, well I am afraid it has done on the web page - as it does not do the place Justice, and when you see it first hand, you will know what I mean. The course is difficult, the greens amazingly fast and so undulating - get on the wrong side then well my only suggestion is leave the flag in and take the penalty if you hit it lol - as you wont stop the ball any other way - Brilliant Greens - Fantastic Course with a daunting drive to finish on 18.............Irelands Augusta might be closer than you think as a description.
