Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've golfed here in 2013 and the course is very nice. There is a lot of history in this area and on the course. The old garden walls still are there from which the Earl Fitzwilliam governed this estate throughout the entire 19th century. My family were irish tenant farmers of his, and for an English landlord, he was always concidered fair.

Coolattin should be more user friendly - poor facilities (no food and very few buggies plus showers were not working). The course is very good and challenging - it is a pity the rest is such a let-down.

Coolattin is a really challenging parkland golf course. You need to be driving the ball very well in order to avoid trouble with the mature trees which are encountered on practically every hole.
There is little enough rough, trees form a sufficient hazard throughout the course. The course is not overly long, however the 10th hole, at 600 plus yards, will test the longest of golfers. The par three holes are all memorable, with the garden hole, the 5th being the weakest and the 7th being the best.
The local professional, Peter, and his assistant are extremely helpful and welcoming.
Also, the restaurant provides a nice selection of choices at reasonable cost.
I've played Coolattin on many occasions over the years and love to go back. It's always at it's most scenic in May/June when the flowers are in bloom. Wildlife is abundant in Coolattin, particularly squirrels and pheasants. It's always a delight to play.

Along with being a great layout, there are many different trees- oaks, birch, conifers. I enjoyed the scenery and had a great round. On the back nine there are a few obstacles (trees) you have to play around.

Fantastic parkland course in very good condition. We played on a cold windy day which did not distract from the quality of the day.
Well looked after by Vicki on the catering side.

A real gem of a course. The address is a bit misleading, its actually in Shillelagh. There are some stunning specimens of trees around the course, and there is every chance that you will get some close-up views.
The scenery surround the course is spectacular too.

Played twice around Easter. Great design and a real test of golf. You have to drive the ball into the right place to be able to approach the green.
Little rough helps the golf ball quota but great fun
