Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just a wonderful experience all round. Very informative talk given in the beginning, both the history and currently state of the sport explained in depth. If you have any interest in animals/ wildlife I would highly recommend!

The flying experience is wonderful. The birds are all in amazing condition and so obviously well looked after. The bond that the birds have with the instructor is adorable and they totally love what they do. No bird is forced to fly; when they decided to stop cooperating - especially the owl! - everyone just moved on.

Everything was just amazing. Such a wonderful experience, if you know anyone with a slight interest in what falconry is, it's a wonderful birthdsy gift!

You need a car to get around, as the area is pretty secluded. Not that far from Arklow town so lots of places to stay nearby and more to do if you want to make a weekend out of it!

Our adventure was a perfect blend of entertaining (the kids, aged 8 and 10 thoroughly enjoyed it and were engaged throughout) and educational. Having done two other raptor experiences, both in Canada, we were not new to this sort of thing. However this experience was far superior to what we had done in the past in British Columbia and Alberta. The facility is top notch, and I concur with what other reviewers have said about the care and condition of the birds we met. In addition, the drive from Dublin was full of beautiful scenery. I would highly recommend this for anyone.

The falconry experience honestly exceeded our expectations!!! It has been amazing to learn so much about birds and the experience with the Harris’s hawk in the woods has been magical! We also loved the owls so so much, we will treasure this experience hoping to go back soon!

We had been working with the team at the school for almost 3 years to schedule a visit thanks to COVID. The team there is phenomenal, they stuck with us and helped us finally schedule a visit that we were able to fulfill. The wait was definitely worth it! Our guide Jacob was knowledgeable, informative, and a great teacher. We were able to get comfortable with the hawks quickly - thanks Wookie and Yoda! During our scheduled time we never felt rushed and were able to see the birds in a natural environment. It was a wonderful experience, thank you team for working with us, it was the highlight of our trip!

Great experience! Laurence was informative about the birds and the art of falconry. The location is outside of Dublin so you definitely have to have transport. I didn’t plan the transportation well so I was going to have to cancel. However, when I explained to Laurence that we didn’t have a ride to the train station, he so kindly offered. So not only was the falconry great but the hospitality as well. Well done Laurence!

My wife brought me down here for a day out. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but i have to say it surpassed every thing i could have imagined. Laurence really knows his stuff and gave tons of amazing info i never would have known about birds of prey. But mostly what i learned was these birds have such personalities and are so friendly. It was some thrill to have a Harris’s hawk land on your hand, and see her up close. Cho was such a friendly bird, she made me smile every time she flew to me!
It was also amazing meeting elvis, ozzy and ming the owls. Never thought id get an owl standing in my hand and get to stroke one!
Thanks to Laurence for every thing, it’s very clear he cares a great deal for the birds and looks after them so well.
Its somthing i will definatly go back to visit again… even if its just to say hi to Cho! :)

Lovely experience!

Despite the rain, we got to fly the Hawk and see different types of Owls.

Too bad we couldn't see the Falcon flying, but we were aware that he doesn't fly in the rain.

Those 2 hours at the Falconry were fun and informative. It is very clear that the owner loves the birds and he really cares about this place.

This is a really great way to spend a few hours in glorious countryside getting to know all about birds of prey. The two organisers - Daragh and Jim are very experienced handlers and you will learn a lot from them as well as enjoying yourself. First class.

... and when you've finished you can have an enjoyable and relaxed lunch at the nearby Woodenbridge hotel.
