Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited this shopping mall on the outskirts of Arklow across the bridge, in summer during a lull in the lockdown. This is one of the most popular shopping malls in the south east as it is well equipped with plenty of car parking spaces in the multi-storey car park and lots of places to choose from for groceries (Dunnes) and clothing retailers, such as TK Maxx and Peter Mark. The traffic over the bridge, especially going back into Arklow can be heavy so plan to avoid rush hours. We did not visit the Omniplex Cinema due to the pandemic but look forward to its reopening. There is also a food court with Le Cafe and the Oasis Of Taste combines 3 popular Irish brands, Abrakebabra, Bagel Factory and O’Brien’s sandwich shop.

Had dinner here last night. Could not fault service, food or cost! We brought our own wine...no corkage fee charged. Our waitress was lovely and very helpful. We ordered Opera pizza and Prawn Penne, both were delicious, followed by a gorgeous milkshake and hot chocolate and the bill came to €32!!! Hope this restaurant gets the support it deserves.

The Opera- pizza and sandwich food place .

Went there with my daughter and grandchild yesterday ordering 2 toasted sandwich it took 50 minutes to arrive!!!! We asked for it to be take away, as we were ,NOW stressed for time, and it arrived on the plate taking a further 10 minutes to wrap up for take away .

I had a simple tuna mayo with sweetcorn/sundried tomatoes and my daughter had a chicken sandwich in which the spices were not as described on the menu .
There was a man working there who gave us the sandwiches eventually and no apology was provided for how long we had to wait 🙄
Would not recommend !!!!

One the security guards approached me and my assistance dog and said that I had to leave as I was "playing" with my dog and I'm not allowed to train him ect. I wasn't doing anything wrong at all. He was rude and caused me alot of stress and he only approached me when my family was gone and I was alone. He said he'll show me the sign and that I can wait outside for my family and to go with him which I said no thank you. The minute my mom came he ran off.

My son was given a Bridgewater gift card with an expiry date of June 2020. When we went to use it, we were told that there was no money left on it as the centre had been deducting €3 a month. Apparently this is their T&Cs as it is over a year old. However, the expiry date clearly states June 2020 on the front of the card. He was saving up and the expiry date was 6 months away, but they still debited his card. I called Stephanie Staines, the centre manager, she was not at all helpful and kept quoting the terms and conditions. I explained it was my young son's card and he was v upset & asked her to make amends on behalf of the centre but she refused.

I am v disappointed in the shopping centre's management. I like to shop locally and have in recent times, given the card as a gift to a few people, if I knew the money would be debited before the expiry date, I certainly wouldn't have bought it. I hate to say this, but this goes against the whole ethos of the personal touch of shopping local. Stephanie, you need to focus on your customer service skills.

Honestly, I know abrakebabra is fast food and hasn't got a great rep anyways but I was rushed for time the other day and stupidly decided to order a chicken kebeb from abrakebabra in the new foodcourt as I thought I would be quicker than some of the others. Firstly, I sat waiting for over 25 minutes while the lady who was working there chatted to her friends and pottered around not really doing much. When my kebab was finally ready after 25 minutes, it was inedible. Honestly, I'm not fussy with food. I will eat most things regardless of the taste if I'm hungry enough. I was absolutely starving when I was served this kebab and after taking 1 bite of it I knew I just couldn't eat that thong. It's was drenched in sauce, the whole thing was sauce with some slivers of rubber chicken thrown in. The cabbage on the top was stale and nasty. The only thing that looked any way fresh was the pitta bread it came in but I couldn't even eat that because there was so much sauce thrown onto it that it was soggy and dripping everywhere.

THE Bridgewater centre is a good spot to spend an afternoon but they need to ensure that the food outlets operating in the centre are serving food that people can actually eat. I won't ever eat in the new food court again because abrakebabra just turned me off the whole place.

I knew it was bad food to begin with but I've never encountered a meal that I can't or wo t eat until I visited abrakebabra in Bridgewater.

We love Dunne's Stores in the Mall as well as the Omniplex Cinema. We're "seasoned citizens" so we love Tuesdays where we get a super price break! All the cinemas have been redone and everything is fresh and new!
Sometimes we go to the Gelato place and their ice cream is always to die for. I like that I can get my car washed while I shop. It's hard to beat two euros for a three hour visit and we normally pick up 10 Euros of stuff at Dunnes so they make our parking gratis. Bridgewater Shopping Center is a treat at multiple levels. I sometimes get intentionally "lost" and find the great "food court" where I'm treated to great grub at a fair price.
