The lady at the tourist information (which was open today) said that the L1152 road to the gardens would be hill and she was right. However it was worth the effort. Well worth a visit to the gardens and the cafe.

Fantastic place for walk and learn about botanic gardens. Free walking tour through garden - i've been there a few times, it has always been enjoyable and interesting. Any season of the year comes with its own highlights.

Not sure. But there were lots of people on field with kids so it didn't like like there would be a problem with a picnic
