Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great friendly bar serving wide variety of drinks.
Sports on TV and great live music night when we were there. Def worth a visit when in Wexford.

I visited here last week with my wife and brother and I can only judge it on my visit, but it wasn't my favourite pub on our visit to Wexford.
The drinks were a fair bit cheaper than other pubs on the same road even, but it felt really flat and the music could barely be heard either.
It's certainly not a bad pub by any means and we probably caught it at the wrong time.

My friends and I were enjoying our night when somebody in a black jumper pulled a knife out and waved it at two of my friends. My friend then reported this to a barman. My friends and I decided to leave because we felt unsafe in the bar. We then heard that the person who pulled a knife left the bar, so we wanted to return, as we had previously enjoyed the atmosphere in there. On our way back in we met a barman who said to us that the person didn’t have a knife, which is completely false and there are multiple eyewitnesses, and that we had to leave. When we protested that he did in fact have a knife, we were then told that we could talk about it another night and that we had to leave. This is appalling, the staff didn’t take the complaint seriously at all. Great service lads!!

Myself and a few friends were visiting Wexford from the north for a few days. We had heard good reviews about Maggie May’s so we decided to go for a couple drinks. Although the bouncer initially checked our IDs and let us in, about an hour later he came to our table and said that he would need to see our passports as he couldn’t confirm our UK driving licenses were real?? Since we came from the north and obviously didn’t have passports with us, he said that he wouldn’t be able to let us in again, and that if he ever saw us in there he would ask us to leave. We immediately felt unwelcome, and left shortly after. I’ve used my driving license as a form of ID in the south many times, and have never experienced this problem before. I never leave reviews, but I just thought I should warn other travellers to bring more than one form of ID if they’re going. The bar itself is fine, nothing really to write home about.

When we go down to Wexford this is one of the great bars we head to. All bar staff are happy friendly. The Guinness here is also great. A good atmosphere in the bar. We finally got to sit out in the beer garden for the very first time at the end of March when the weather was nice that day. There is a small toilet there. The bar itself has the toilets up a flight is stairs. None downstairs apart from the beer garden. Highly recommended.

Went to the pub last night, refused entry with a valid and legitimate drivers license. The bald bouncer was extremely rude when we tried to ask why he wouldn’t accept drivers licenses as valid IDs.
No other pub in Wexford town had this agenda so why Maggie Mays, which wasn’t overly busy either, has I do not know. Extremely disappointing and disgusted with the manners of the bouncer as described.

Tall bald bouncer thinks it’s fine to stand up on the toilet in the stall and look over into your stall while you are taking a piss and are very rude
