OK so I may not be a brilliant golfer however, this is a fantastic golf course. When you compare the bang for your buck with let's say the - K Club there's only one winner and Bunclody is it. It's a beautifully designed course hugged by the gurgling slow moving river Slaney and surrounded by magnificent foliage. The course itself is challenging but fair and this gives all handicap ranges a chance to really enjoy their days golf. The clubhouse is a super design and if I lived close by I would now be a member. Myself and superwife played with Gary H'cap 7 and Trish 22 and they were great company. It's a course worth playing. Obviously, things are a little tricky now with C19 and hopefully we will all pull through. In the meantime, would I go again - YES

Have visited before with no problems. Planned to be passing and phoned on a Monday to book a table for food Tuesday afternoon. Lady on reception said no problem and put me through to the bar. Gentleman said no need to book - just turn up. Did so having taken 20 mile detour to be told by an unhelpful Course Marshall that clubhouse not open Monday or Tuesday. Shambles - will not be back. This was a birthday treat

Played it for the first time this week and can not wait to play again. Every hole is brilliantly designed with clever bunker placements and subtle tee placements to make use of the trees. The 14th to the 17th are absolutely beautiful.

Played here today and honestly could not get over the quality and presentation of the course, This is really up there with the best of the best and the last 4 holes in particular are just outstanding. The waste bunkers are a great idea and if unlucky enough to visit one a good golf shot will be rewarded. Loved the ‘No Gimmic’ layout of the course and look forward to my next visit when I hope to achieve more than todays 29 points. The clubhouse, catering and staff are all first class.Cannot recommend highly enough

This is a course with great potential and in need of a dose of TLC. It is situated in a wonderful settng at the base of Mount Leinster and on the banks of the River Slaney. There are some nice holes on the front nine, including a cleverly designed par 3 with a water hazard waiting for a wayward drive, but it also has some which are very ordinary. Too often one stands on a tee and is faced with a drive up what looks more like a field than a cultured fairway. That said, it has some wonderful holes on the back nine, from the 14th onwards. These are very cleverly designed and contoured and give an indication of what can be achieved on their poorer relations. Also on the credit side is the fabulous conditions of the greens, showing that the club has staff which knows its stuff. But overall, one gets the impression of a club badly in need of investment and probably more course staff.
