Great historical building in the heart of the Town. Have attended concerts here with great Choirs and the acoustics were brilliant. Staff happy to tell you about the history.

Out in main shopping area & came across church towards old square. Went inside & discovered a little gem. Very old with classic furniture & unique stations of the cross. The huge decorated Christmas Tree was still standing on the beautiful marble alter. Whilst there was no Service or Prayers taking place it was a wonderful peaceful & spiritual experience. A little gem from another era. Well worth a visit.

The Church of St Iberius is a well used old Building- right in the heart of Wexford town. There are services on every day and the public are welcome to visit and view the many historical aspects of this lovely building. There are leaflets available to chart the history of this old Church- which was built in 1660. I particularly enjoyed looking at the photo gallery, where you can see all the Rectors since 1846,including the very Revered Maria P Jansson, rector of Wexford from 2004-2011. A visit here is a must for anybody interested in old Churches, well worth a ramble around.

This is a very unusual Parish Church built in the mid 1600's. There are some interesting monuments. The church is set in the main street with steps leading to the entrance. Pleasant atmosphere, donations gratefully received for the restoration of the tower.

During the festival the church is the venue of lunchtime recitals by singers from the operas. You don't necessarily know who you will be hearing, but the intimacy of the setting, good acoustics and the friendliness of the audience where you are likely to meet local people as well as regular visitors from all over the world make this an essential part of the festival experience.
