Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stumbled across the National Opera House whilst walking around Wexford and noticed it had a cafe. We got into the lift to the top floor and were delighted to find the cafe with stunning views out to sea. We ordered a Full Irish Breakfast and then absorbed the splendour of the beautiful room. Our breakfasts were amazing and the staff, just lovely. With reasonable prices too, give this fabulous venue a try!

We had booked two tickets for 'The Lake of Cignes' at the National Opera House in Wexford on Friday evening 25 February. We booked a hotel room (we live in Waterford, without a car), the restaurant and bus tickets. We were surprised to be told on Saturday lunchtime that the show was cancelled and that we would be refunded. It's unacceptable to give a few hours notice of the cancellation as if the Opera had not been warned that the Ballets Russes would be boycotted or not come. They don't travel in the morning for the evening from Russia. I wrote them an email to let them know of our displeasure and the financial loss we have suffered. Only the Jim McGee's Hotel refused to refund us 1250€ for the room or to give us a voucher for another evening (unkind, unprofessional and unbusinesslike management), but not NOTHING (48h deadline passed). The other tenants made no problem in cancelling our reservations free of charge and we thank them for that. The Opera could at least make a commercial gesture on another show as they are the ones responsible for our loss. But NOTHING, no response, a total disregard for the customer... They are not ready to take us back...

Rooftop Cafe open daily. So e were strolling aroundthe town looking at the sights. We especially wanted to find The Opera House, which has been amazingly re-built in the past few years. We discivered their amazing rooftop Cafe, where the food we found to be high quality. Highly recommend you check it out.

Perhaps the most uncomfortable venue I have visited. Seats are too close together. More legroom on Ryanair. Performance ruined by audience using phones and tablets to record the show. When I complained at the interval the steward just shrugged his shoulders. I left totally frustrated.

Absolutely stunning theatre and a must see experience. I’ve been lucky to perform here numerous times and the second you walk in stage you are catapulted to a whole other level of artistic fulfilment. A beautifully designed performing arts space that thrills and exceeds all expectations.

We went to two performances at the festival - Don Quichote and Dorilla in Tempe . The building is a wonderful one with excellent accoustics . Both performances were very good - fair by way of operas and music and well sung by excellent casts . A very enjoyable occasion .

We attended La Cucina & Adina during the opera festival. It was our first time at the opera and we were blown away that such an incredible venue is virtually on our doorstep (living an hours drive away). The performance was magnificent, and was only enhanced by the acoustics at the opera house.
We are already planning our next visit!

The modest front to this renovated building belies a series of superb theatres within. The use of wood throughout gives a feeling of warmth and charm. The acoustics are excellent.
