Awful
Feb 2020 • Solo
Perhaps the most uncomfortable venue I have visited. Seats are too close together. More legroom on Ryanair. Performance ruined by audience using phones and tablets to record the show. When I complained at the interval the steward just shrugged his shoulders. I left totally frustrated.

Ireland’s southern jewel.

Absolutely stunning theatre and a must see experience. I’ve been lucky to perform here numerous times and the second you walk in stage you are catapulted to a whole other level of artistic fulfilment. A beautifully designed performing arts space that thrills and exceeds all expectations.

Great building and an excellent opera festival
Oct 2019
We went to two performances at the festival - Don Quichote and Dorilla in Tempe . The building is a wonderful one with excellent accoustics . Both performances were very good - fair by way of operas and music and well sung by excellent casts . A very enjoyable occasion .

Amazing
Nov 2019 • Couples
We attended La Cucina & Adina during the opera festival. It was our first time at the opera and we were blown away that such an incredible venue is virtually on our doorstep (living an hours drive away). The performance was magnificent, and was only enhanced by the acoustics at the opera house.
We are already planning our next visit!

Opera Festival

The modest front to this renovated building belies a series of superb theatres within. The use of wood throughout gives a feeling of warmth and charm. The acoustics are excellent.

Excellent venue for Opera
Oct 2019 • Couples
Such a special occasion to visit and watch quality productions. Saw the opening nights of this seasons operas and enjoyed every one . The people who keep the theatre going are doing a fantastic job . The venue itself is beautiful wood lined the seats are comfy . The public areas can get a bit chaotic during the interval and the drinks are a bit expensive but they are minor issues. The programme is always really informative and comprehensive and well designed. Met lots of people visiting for their first time. Had a fantastic time again. It will draw you back again. The houses in the terraced streets nearby were dressed for Halloween and everyone still wears formal evening dress so it’s a great spectacle.

Fantastic evening
Oct 2019 • Family
This is something you have to do before you die- an evening of the Wexford Opera festival. We spent last night at Dorota in Tempe, it was heavenly. Go for a meal in the restaurant of the theatre followed by the opera. A fabulous evening’

Fantastic, just fantastic

Wexford opera house, Wexford is a beautiful town in its own right, if you go to the opera try and visit the town as well, raise a rebellious hand for the Pike Men of Wexford. The National Opera house is a little difficult to find, lots of one way streets and it can be confusing, once your there, it’s not huge but inside it’s beautiful, stage design is first rate and acoustics are sublime, I went to see Don Quichotte and it was excellent, please don’t take pictures during the performance, several people were warned and it’s not right. It’s a fantastic venue, a beautiful town, excellent sound, what’s not to like?
