    Kennedy Homestead New Ross
A must visit for anyone interested the Kennedy Irish connection with New Ross. I had meant to visit on many occasions over the years but finally made it this year. The entrance charge is minimum and the full tour takes 1.5/2 hours, it’s partly guided and self guided. It is really interesting and you find out loads of information about their lives in America and their affinity to Ireland.

    Kennedy Homestead Dogs Welcome
I have to say me ,Dolly and Bella (Golden Retriever Puppy) Where welcomed with open arms today. All the staff where wonderful and so chatty. Kelly did an amazing tour and made us all feel part of the 1963 visitation. Bella was allowed in with open arms and even got water. Thank you girls for a wonderful experience and to Patrick for all this to be available to the public. Dolly and Bella (Kildare)

    A small JFK attraction
This attraction is in the middle of nowhere so you will need to have a car to get there. The visitor centre is well laid out and there are several exhibits loaned by the Kennedy family or other museums. There is a short film about JFK's visits there. There is a small outbuilding where rooms have been recreated. The original homestead is still occupied by the family so you need to be courteous when exploring the grounds. This is just a small attraction that could literally be visited in 30 minutes. I recommend getting the double ticket where you can visit the homestead and also the Dunbrody famine ship a few miles away.

    Honored to have visited
We were honored to have one of John F. Kennedy's family, Patrick Grennan, give us a personal tour of the Kennedy Homestead. The history comes flooding at you as you enter the visitor center, and a walk around the grounds transports you back to that wonderful day in 1963 when JFK visited his roots. One of the highlights of our trip to Ireland and one we whole-heartedly recommend. Thank you again, Patrick!

Tea in the Courtyard where President Kennedy had tea with his cousin Mary.
My mother, (born in Ballymena, N. Ireland loved President Kennedy. I remember watching him on the news, getting out of a helicopter in the field behind the family farm, and running up to the courtyard to have tea with his cousin Mary. When we arrived at the Homestead, (August, 2010), we found ourselves with the most lovely lady who invited us to have a look around. I told her that my mother and I watched President Kennedy land in the field behind the house to have tea with his cousin Mary in the Courtyard, and how excited my mother would be to know that I was there! She then asked me if my friend and I would like to have tea in the courtyard. I have to say, that this trip was a very emotional one for me as this was my first trip to Ireland since we immigrated to Canada in 1957. They lady came to our table with a tray of tea, served in china teacups, along with a plate of biscuits. This was a highlight of my trip! The JFK Memorial Park is not far from there.

I have to preface my visit review with the following :
I have the greatest respect for the Kennedy family for everything they have achieved and done both in Ireland and the United States of America. Thank you

Sadly, for 8 euro entrance fee per adult to view a few photos, 5 minute video and see an out house is outrageous. If interested in the Kennedy lineage, I'd suggest looking at goggle, youtube, other media and read a book on the Kennedys. This homestead is truly underwhelming

Close to New Ross by car. We arrived at 9.30am when a very friendly person ( owner ?) opened the gates for us. Plenty of parking.
It seemed to be a recently newish museum established in the historic farmhouse where JFK great grandfather lived & from where he emigrated.
Loads of huge photos of all the Kennedys with family tree & what the family had contributed to USA & world history.
Outbuildings- with photos of how they looked in the past . Guide was very welcoming and had great knowledge of the Kennedys & the visit of JFK. Also. history in photos of all USA presidents who had Irish backgrounds
Not an great deal of artefacts however on display- but this place is all about the history of the Kennedys & their Irish connection.
Proprietors- you want to give further option eg "Other" for "Who was with you" as we were with family BUT Elderly members !!! I've had to just state "friends"

Vernacular ancestral home and outbuildings of the former President of the USA and a modern exhibition space. The overall experience is insightful, with some good memorabilia. The host, Mary, is excellent, a very witty storyteller who had us laughing out loud on the tour of the premises.

Despite by scepticism this is a remarkably good exhibit in the middle of the woods of Wexford countryside.
Spoke to Patrick, the owner and part of the Kennedy/Kenedy clan. Basically people were forever visiting to see where JF Kennedy had visited and his family roots. Lots of photos and simple memorabilia giving great insight into the history of the family and where they came from and the achievements of the wider Kennedy family. A quintessentially Irish exhibit arising from the pride that the family and community have in their ancestors who made it big in the US and changed many parts of history with contributions to civil rights, Northern Ireland peace, the Special Olympics and the moon project, to name a few.
There are the exhibits but also a good cafe.

My family and I visited the Kennedy Homestead last week while holidaying in Wexford. My daughter is hugely interested in American history and wanted to visit. From the minute we arrived the curators were very welcoming, friendly and hugely informative. Mary (the tour guide) went over and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our visit. Such a wonderful lady and such an asset to the museum. The layout is excellent and the memorabilia wonderful.
Would highly recommend!

This review is long over due!! Me & my partner visited less than an hour before closing time in a cold November evening. Mary was fantastic no messing around and full of educational information and gave us a great tour for what little time we left ourselves. I’m a local Wexford man from the historic Ferns but should I not be a Wexford person I’d still 100% recommend the visit here.

I visited the Kennedy Farm as a solo traveller, and it is a must do - especially if you are in the Wexford County / New Ross area! The staff are very enthusiastic, helpful, and insightful. Lots of great photo opportunities and information. Amazing artefacts, and the tour is great. Also a great range of books on the Kennedys which is awesome!! I have travelled to a variety of museums and exhibitions during my travels, and this one is up with the top!!
Awesome to meet Patrick as well. A top lad 😄

There are some interesting exhibits here, you have to join a guided tour, sometimes interrupted so other people entering can join the tour, also you watch a video of the Kennedy dynasty from emigrants to presidents. Whilst I can appreciate the modern Kennedy descendants , and indeed locals to the area are proud that members of the family achieved high office both in Ireland and America as well as many other legislative achievements; I found it hard to accept the complete whitewash of the many failings of the Kennedy dynasty, from Ted Kennedy being forever associated with Chapaquiddick, to bootlegging plus their infidelities. There is a narrow approach road, but adequate parking, small drinks area with biscuits etc. JFK did visit once before his assassination, photos of this are exhibited in the barn.

What an amazing experience we had here, we were met by a very enthusiastic lady in the front foyer and shop. She went on to set the scene in the first exhibit then left us to browse the others. Later Patrick, a direct descendant of the Kennedys, kindly took us around the rest. He also was very enthusiastic and very friendly. This place is a must if near Dunganstown.
