The Cathedral looks stunning inside. It has a very peaceful quiet atmosphere, despite being in the middle of a busy town. It has a welcome feel. It gives you time to pray and reflect should you wish to do so without being disturbed.

I enjoyed this cathedral greatly. The art work was very nice and the stained glass was exceptional. It's a fairly large building and we enjoyed the visit. Don't expect the gaudy elaborate Italian look but rather a more down to earth house of worship.

A good example of Georgian church design, the Cathedral was the first Catholic Cathedral to open in Ireland in 1823. It was designed by John Roberts who also designed the Anglican Cathedral in the city.

Great stained glass windows and interesting interior decor. Would recommend a view of the interior. They are currently raising funds to restore the stained glass windows.

Another stylish Georgian building not spoilt by too much ornamentation. It is beautiful inside, but tastefully done.

This place is historically interesting. Not very elaborate. It those have an interesting Hebrew word on the wall behind the alter. The volunteers there are very happy to tell you the significance of it.

We stopped by for an unofficial tour, it was a fabulous experience. The craftsmanship and care have created and maintained this beautiful place of worship. A great place to pray for safe travels.

We walked past this Cathedral on our walking tour with Jack and he discussed its history. It is the oldest Roman catholic cathedral in all of Ireland and dates to 1793-1796. It has a most interesting facade, which is neoclassic in style with Palladian overtones....More
