Light and welcoming. History is literally written in the walls with a wealth of plaques charting the lives and deaths of many of Waterford's wealthier and powerful residents. A particularly moving plaque notes the loss of 5 Grandsons in the Great War. Lovely to walk...More

The church was amazing!. It has a huge organ at the entrance to the aisles and very impressive adornments. It showed some of the original reminents of the church before this one was built and a coffin that was made to show how you looked...More

This was a must on our itinerary as it was the place an ancestor had been christened in 1812 and they had a copy of the event. Very helpful and informed staff.

We thought Christ Church Cathedral was different to others we have visited. It is much lighter for a start, and we thought there was a lot more information on the history of the building and how it has been affected by the various political and...More

We went into the church at the recommendation of a local shop owner. It's a beautiful church, with a clear expiation of the historic background of certain aspects. Best of all, it's free. Though they do offer the opportunity to give a donation to help...More

The church itself is a wonderful display of period architecture. However, the contents are a lesson in history and how politics & religion have influenced history. While there is no cost to get in, they do ask for donations to support the upkeep.
