We went into this museum and got a deal to visit the treasures museum and the bishops palace for a cheaper price. The bottom floor wss currently occupied by Santa. But the upper floors were all available, and we were provided with devices for an audio tour, which was nice. The cashier also took our coats and kept them for... More

While exploring the Viking triangle we went into the museum and as there was a guided tour starting we decided to join. So glad we did - the guide was so informative, clearly loving his job, he really knew his stuf, knew how to impart information in an interesting way and was clearly pleased by our interest. The museum is... More

This was a super addition to Waterford's tourist venues - very modern and well set up. The displays are gorgeous. However, the guide's tour was much too short despite the humour and knowledge he showed.

We really enjoyed this museum. This is a Viking Town and the museum captured that and also other parts of the history. Nice videos and well displayed artifacts.

I really enjoyed this museum! Very informative and friendly. The tour guide joked with my study abroad trip the entire time, and made the experience memorable. The staff even remembered me when I came back to purchase something. Extremely nice and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend.

Waterford has been transformed in the last 4 years, some of which I don't like (for instance, the same old borrowed steel and wood materials and design [does every port have to use ships for inspiration?] that is used in the new open space on the waterfront). The highlight of a visit to Waterford is the new medieval museum, most... More

My husband and I listened to the audio guide while touring the museum. It is included in the price of the ticket and well worth it. The displays are well organized. A short movie is included. We purchased a combined ticket with The Bishop Palace.
