It is a tranquil place, characterised by narrow streets, historic architecture, atmospheric public spaces and unique cultural and heritage attractions. Over 1,000 years of history unfold in just 1,000 paces in this compact and authentically charming location.

Nothing crazy, historic area, not very large, but nice. Would go back, but don't need to anytime soon.

It's amazing to have so much Viking history on display in an outdoor setting. You will want to take lots of pictures. It is very easy to take in the Viking history in this location.

We were so happy to stroll through the streets that weren’t crowded at all. Something photoworthy in every direction we looked.

Worth coming down here to see the recreation of Viking ship and other items. Best done in conjunction with Reginalds Tower which has more items on a smaller scale.
