Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While traveling in Ireland, we had only one day in Sligo. We decided to go to a local pub called, The Snug. It’s a small pub but if you ever have the pleasure to go to this pub, do not let the size fool you. Connor, the bartender was very welcoming, charismatic and excellent bartender. I’m sure there was a television somewhere in the bar to watch football, however, I was happiest sitting at the bar shooting the ____ with Connor. I would highly recommend this pub!

Interesting place, good beer, nice place to chill & watch the football. It is pretty old & it’s true that the bathrooms aren’t perfect but have another beer & you won’t notice. The bar staff were friendly & a good source of local information.

Very welcoming and great service, we came across this bar and got lucky. We enjoyed our short visit to “The Snug Bar”, and the next time we are in Sligo we will be back👍

Very disappointing. Bought drinks here all night for me and my friends while listening to Imelda May outside in a concert and at 11pm they refused me to use the restrooms and was extremely rude in the process.

Stumbled across the Sung Bar this evening and it was the best evening we've had out in a long time. The service was excellent. Keelan (sorry if we spelt your name wrong) could not have done more for us. Every time our glass was near empty he was over to ask if we wanted more. When we enquired about food, he went to nearby Camile to get us menus and staff for our order. The live music by Stewie was unreal. We're Irish born and bred and it's the best night out we've had out in Ireland in years. Thank you

Refused entry to outdoor area during the summer due to wearing shorts. Absolute joke during the summer months.

Worst experience I ever had with this bar, staff are horrible drink service is terrible, it's based in Sligo town, I wouldn't recommend anyone drinking here, shambles of a pub and the toilets are rotten too and never cleaned for the public.

Stopped in for a quick pint and ended up with two as we watched the British Open as well as Hurling, a sport that I've never seen before (we live in the US). As others have written it's a cozy little bar, like most in Ireland.
